"Ex-Crawfish staffers join Climax handheld team"

Handpicked talent forms 'dream team'

Climax has recruited two former Crawfish developers to head up its handheld development team, which now has a team of 20 people, who have worked on a variety of GBC, GBA and mobile games in the past, including Street Fighter Alpha 3 on Nintendo's latest handheld.

The two latest additions are Cameron Shepperd, founder and MD of Crawfish, who joins Climax as Managing Director, with fellow ex-Crawfish man Mike Merren joining as Development Director.

The team is now hard at work on two high profile but as-yet unannounced GBA titles, and Climax is hoping to expand the operation by taking on more GBA games and exploring the possibilities of N-Gage games development.

"We're delighted to have Cameron, Mike and the best people from Crawfish onboard" stated Karl Jeffery, CEO of Climax. "Crawfish's unfortunate demise has enabled us to strengthen our handheld division with some exceptionally talented individuals who will add enormously to our existing team. And with such an exceptionally gifted team in place, we're now in a position to expand our handheld development programme."
